Training Course in Statistics and Multivariate Analysis in R: applications in multicomponent systems

Department of Chemistry Diploma/Certificate

General Objectives of the Course

It is intended that students acquire expertise in the use of computational tools for statistical and multivariate data analysis, in a comprehensive and current perspective of methods implemented in the R environment, developing a self-critical analysis and interpretation of the results from specific and pratical examples.

Admission Requirements

It is recommended that the students of the course have or attend a higher education course, or have relevant professional experience within the scope of this training. Knowledge of mathematics, computer science and data processing is also recommended, as well as English language skills for consulting the recommended bibliography.

For the purposes of evaluating and ranking applications, the curriculum vitae (CV) and motivation letter will be assessed based on the defined criteria and their respective weighting.

Conditions for attendance: the course requires the installation of the R software and its IDE, Rstudio, and the use of spreadsheets (e.g. Excel).

Candidates should check the admission requirements available on this site, in addition to the information provided here.
