General Objectives of the Course

The course is intended for everyone wishing to strengthen, improve and enhance oral expression by debating and discussing great impact current issues. The objective is for students to reach level B1 by the end of the course (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Continuous assessment: oral participation in class / from 0 to 20 points

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

Reception skills: Listening/ Watching / Whriting (mastering some reading techniques);
Understanding the functioning of French language.
Developing production skills: INTERACTION / SPOKEN INTERACTION/ WRITTTING;
Research project: research, namely on the internet.
Spoken competence: listening and speaking, on the basis of Francophone world contemporary documents

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

Regulation n.º 339/2012, published in Official Gazette no. 152, 2. Grade, August 7th (Regulation of Creation and Operation of non-degree courses at the UC).

Graduation Requirements

As a rule, continuous assessment is the preferential regime to assess our students’ knowledge which requires 75% attendance and completion of two assessment tests. Other elements such as class participation, homework and tasks performed throughout the course, are also taken into account for evaluation. At the end of each level, students can request the corresponding certificate, if the course has been successfully completed.
