Intensive Course of Portuguese as a Foreign Language - Intermediate Level (B2)

General Objectives of the Course

To enable students to acquire and/or develop communicative skills in Portuguese at different language levels.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Students enrolled in this course are not assessed. In order to obtain a diploma and an attendance certificate they need to attend at least 75% of the classes taught.

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

Taking as reference the descriptors of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, students should be able to:
Intermediate Level (B2): understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, in his/her field of specialization, as well as the gist of texts about various topics; produce clear and detailed texts on a wide range of subjects; explain a viewpoint on a topical issue; develop an argument in a methodical manner.
