General Objectives of the Course

Learning advanced theoretical concepts and their practical application in SPSS:
- Know how to evaluate the quality of a diagnostic test and concordance of results
- Mastering the concepts of clinical risk
- Mastering the concepts of survival
- Become familiar with advanced concepts of design of a clinical trial as a power, missing values, multiple comparisons or confounding variables
- Know how to use advanced tools of inferential analysis based on the general linear model.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

Regulation n.º 339/2012, published in Official Gazette no. 152, 2. Grade, August 7th (Regulation of Creation and Operation of non-degree courses at the UC).

Graduation Requirements

During the course, which will take place on Fridays afternoon (3 sessions), theoretical subjects are taught in lectures and then applied in the following practical lessons, with the aid of SPSS. At the end (4th session) there will be an examination, where both theoretical and practical knowledge will be tested. Students who pass the examination will receive a certificate.
