Training Course in Computer Networks
General Objectives of the Course
The objective of this course is to provide students with basic knowledge on the operation of TCP/IP computer networks. The course uses a practical approach, using the most common operating systems (Linux, Apple Mac OSX, Microsoft Windows). Nevertheless, strong theoretical background is provided along with the practical subject matters, on topics such as equipment configuration, traffic analysis, and troubleshooting of TCP/IP local area networks (LAN). The course only resorts to open source tools available on the mentioned operating systems.Admission Requirements

Configuration of Linux, Apple Mac OSX, or Microsoft Windows computers, in view of their integration in TCP/IP networks. Check equipment connectivity. Troubleshoot basic networking problems.
