Problem solving with emphasis on Combinatorial Analysis
General Objectives of the CourseImprove capacities in solving problems in particular of discrete mathematics and
combinatorics by teaching tools frequently useful in this activity. Endow teachers with examples of problems useful for developing mathematical thinking in the more talented of their pupils.
Eligible applicants are teachers of Basic (3rd cycle) and Secondary Education.
Applicant selection will be based upon both CV analysis and personal motivations.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and GradingThe final score of each student will be expressed quantitatively and qualitatively, on a numerical integer scale ranging from 1 to 10 (according to the documents number 3/2007 of September/2007 and number 1 of January/2008, published by the CCPFC) as follows:
Excellent – from 9 to 10 points;
Very Good – from 8 to 8,9 points;
Good – from 6,5 to 7,9 points;
Satisfactory – from 5 to 6,4 points;
Insufficient – from 1 to 4,9 points.
