Training Course in Introduction to Astronomy and Astrophysics
General Objectives of the CourseTo teach the astronomical theoretical and observational concepts, according to the topics covered in the official programs. Introduction to the computational technologies in the teaching of science and astronomy in the classroom.
Eligible applicants are teachers of Basic (3rd cycle) and Secondary Education.
Applicant selection will be based upon both CV analysis and personal motivations.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and GradingThe final score of each student will be expressed quantitatively and qualitatively, on a numerical integer scale ranging from 1 to 10 (according to the documents number 3/2007 of September/2007 and number 1 of January/2008, published by the CCPFC) as follows:
Excellent – from 9 to 10 points;
Very Good – from 8 to 8,9 points;
Good – from 6,5 to 7,9 points;
Satisfactory – from 5 to 6,4 points;
Insufficient – from 1 to 4,9 points.
Learning Objectives and Intended SkillsTo update and to deepen theoretical and observational knowledge on Astronomy topics introduced on the programs of basic and secondary education. To develop the ability of using new computactional tools in that context.
