Training Course on: Clinical Simulation on Promoting the Physiology of Labour
Escola Superior de Enfermagem
Diploma/Certificate
General Objectives of the Course
To develop advanced skills in the Specialist Nurse in Maternal and Obstetric HealthNursing in promoting the physiology of labour, with a particular focus on the first stage, by integrating maternal mobility, dynamic clinical assessment, communication that supports women’s autonomy and clinical decisionmaking in simulated settings. The course aims to enable participants to understand the relationship between
mobility, maternal position, comfort and fetal progression; to select strategies to support women in different clinical contexts; and to use clinical simulation technologies, digital resources and artificial intelligence tools to support clinical reasoning, self-directed learning and evidence-based practice. It also aims to develop digital competences applied to obstetric education and practice, namely in the pedagogical use of simulators, the preparation and analysis of simulated clinical scenarios, the critical interpretation of AI-supported outputs and structured reflection on performance.
Admission Requirements
This course is aimed at nurses, preferably nurse-midwives.
Candidates should check the admission requirements available on this site, in addition to the information provided here.
