General Objectives of the Course
Provide students with specialized training that enables them to deliver differentiated nursing care to individuals with Chronic Kidney Disease, promoting a safe transition in adapting to their health condition, as well as supporting their families/caregivers, while critically, ethically, and responsibly integrating the use of technologically advanced equipment, Artificial Intelligence tools, and digital environments applied to clinical practice in dialysis. Equip trainees with the competencies required for the safe and effective use of hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis equipment, automatic monitoring systems, smart alarms, and vascular access assessment devices, ensuring high standards of quality and patient safety. Develop skills in the interpretation and analysis of clinical data derived from digital systems and electronic health records, fostering evidence-based practice supported by clinical decision-support technologies. Promote the use of digital learning environments, clinical simulation, and case-based analysis, strengthening the integration between theoretical knowledge, clinical practice, and technological innovation.Admission Requirements

Instrumental: Apply technical, scientific and ethical-legal knowledge to assess and provide specialised nursing care for people with chronic kidney disease undergoing dialysis, based on scientific evidence and health technology.Personal and interpersonal: Establish effective, collaborative therapeutic relationships with patients, their families/carers, and the interdisciplinary team, demonstrating empathy, assertive communication, and professional responsibility.
Systemic: Recognise that people with chronic kidney disease are an integral part of a complex and interdependent healthcare system, and promote integrated, person-centred responses that address their clinical, social and emotional needs.
