Training Course in Basic Life Support with AEDs

General Objectives of the Course

To develop technical, interpersonal and ethical skills in Basic Life Support using an AED; to develop skills in managing an adult in cardiac arrest, with or without the use of an AED, following the BLS algorithm recommended by the European Resuscitation Council; Place the adult in the recovery position; Perform airway clearance manoeuvres for foreign body obstruction in adults; Develop simulation skills using the Body Interact plaform.

Second-year students on the Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
