General Objectives of the Course

As part of the University of Coimbra's program to promote academic success and combat dropout rates (On-Board Plus), the 4th Transition Workshop - "UC in Action: Bootcamp for Academic Success" - was designed to empower students through a process that moves from reflection to action. Themain obectives are to reflect on the academic journey by analyzing the first-year experience, identifying challenges, difficulties, and opportunites (SWOT Analysis); to promote creativity and problem-solving by generating ideias and practical solutions to real problems identified in the academic community and the city; to equip students with tools to structure proposals, from problem definition to expected impact; and to develop effective communication by practicing the structuring and presentation of ideas in a convincing and clear manner.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Qualitative assessment with pass/fail grading system. To pass, participants must attend the full session (6 hours). Attendance is the sole criterion for assessment in this short-format course.

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

Students will develop skills in self-reflection and critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity and innovation, project planning and organization, effective communication, teamwork, and autonomy and responsibility.
