Training Course in Sampling and Analytical Techniques in the Marine Environment: from sea to laboratory

Rectorate Diploma/Certificate

General Objectives of the Course

The course aims to provide students with fundamental practical skills in sampling
and analysis within coastal marine environments, fostering the integration of fieldwork and laboratory activities. Participants will acquire knowledge on safety procedures, the use of basic sampling equipment, collection and preservation of environmental samples. The course also seeks to develop the ability to interpret results obtained in real-world contexts, linking environmental data to marine ecological processes and promoting a critical approach to coastal ecosystem monitoring.

Admission Requirements

Intended for students enrolled in the 1st and 2nd years of the Bachelor's Degree in Marine Biology at the University of Coimbra.

Candidates should check the admission requirements available on this site, in addition to the information provided here.
