General Objectives of the Course

The course aims to understand the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the practice
of healthcare professionals and develop essential meta-skills to operate in a context of increasing complexity, uncertainty and rapid technological evolution. It also aims to strengthen the capacity for continuous learning and professional development, promoting critical thinking and conscious, informed and ethically responsible decision-making. It also values a practice of care that integrates technological innovation without losing focus on the human and relational dimension of care, strengthening professional identity and sense of purpose.

Develop digital and ethical skills to integrate and critically evaluate the use of Artificial Intelligence in clinical practice using virtual rooms for case discussions; meta-skills that favour adaptation to uncertainty, complexity and technological evolution; critical thinking and responsible decision-making; capacity for continuous learning and reflection on one's own practice; relational skills that
preserve empathy and the human dimension of technology-mediated care; and a solid professional identity, guided by ethical values and the purpose of caring with innovation and humanity.
