General Objectives of the Course

To understand the diversity of wastes and effluents generated by agricultural activities; to understand the evolution of national and European legislation regarding waste and effluent management, particularly their reuse in agricultural activities; to master analytical techniques for the characterization of these streams; to recognize the need for pollution control technologies in order to comply with current legislation or other environmental criteria; to master technologies for the treatment and valorization of solid wastes; to master technologies for the treatment of liquid effluents with a view to water reuse in agricultural activities.
