General Objectives of the Course
Train healthcare professionals, doctors and nurses in the early recognition ofcritically ill patients and equip them with the skills and knowledge to deal with these patients in an emergency.

At the end of the training, trainees should be able to:• Recognise critically ill patients and situations at risk of cardiorespiratory arrest at an early stage
• Correctly apply the Advanced Life Support algorithm, in accordance with international recommendations
• Perform resuscitation techniques in adults, including defibrillation, airway management and treatment of arrhythmias
• Identify and treat potentially reversible causes of CPR
• Act effectively in special situations of cardiopulmonary arrest
• Ensure adequate post-resuscitation care, preventing organ dysfunction
• Work as part of a team and take on leadership roles, communicating effectively in an emergency context
•Make ethical and legally sound decisions during resuscitation.
In this way, the course contributes to the objectives of INNOV2CARE, promoting continuous simulation-based updating of the clinical, technical, ethical and teamwork skills of doctors and nurses, reinforcing the modernisation of training, excellence in responding to critical patients and the humanisation of healthcare.
