General Objectives of the Course

This course aims to provide teachers with the pedagogical knowledge necessary for implementing innovative teaching strategies and techniques, both in the classroom and in various learning environments, including clinical and simulation contexts. The Medical Education - Pedagogical Training for Teachers course aims to foster the development of cross-disciplinary didactic and pedagogical competencies. This will empower educators to creatively and effectively address the emerging challenges in diverse higher education settings, with a special focus on acquiring essential pedagogical skills specific to Medical Education.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Continuous and formative assessment. Approval depends on completing the assessment activities and attending more than 60% of the scheduled face-to-face sessions.

Define student-centred learning objectives aimed at developing competences; Plan teaching-learning sessions; Define objectives aimed at learning outcomes; Use teaching methods and techniques that promote active learning; Apply teaching-learning methods in large and small groups; Design teaching strategies that promote the development of clinical reasoning; Recognise the impact of assessment on learning; select or design appropriate methods and tools for the assessment of learning and
teaching; Apply the principles of multimedia learning and other rules of good design practice in the construction of audiovisual resources; Adopt technology-based resources and tools to support the teachinglearning process.
