Training Course in IA for Data Analysis: Classify, Predict and Discover Patterns

General Objectives of the Course

Introduce fundamental AI concepts and its main areas of application, such as classification, prediction, clustering, among others. Present AI tools with accessible interfaces, for example, nocode/low-code platforms, graphical libraries, and online solutions that enable practical data analysis. Demonstrate how to use these tools in different contexts, such as sales forecasting, document classification, and customer analysis. Discuss best practices, limitations, and precautions when using AI tools, including interpretability, data cleaning, and common errors. Enable participants to carry out small data analysis and task automation projects using AI, based on simple datasets or scenarios.

Admission Requirements

Young people and adults who have a degree or are currently attending a degree course in non-STEAM areas.

Candidates should check the admission requirements available on this site, in addition to the information provided here.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Learning outcomes are assessed individually through practical assignments.

Qualitative Evaluation: in a scale of Approved/Reproved.

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

The student will be able to recognize the main AI tasks and concepts, understanding where each can be applied. They will be able to navigate user-friendly AI tools, load data, and apply classification, regression, and clustering algorithms. They will know how to interpret the results obtained and understand critical aspects of model quality and validity. They will be able to carry out small exploratory AI projects, identifying opportunities and limitations of readily available tools. They will be able to evaluate usage scenarios where basic tools meet the needs and where, on the other hand, it is advisable to adopt more advanced solutions and libraries.
