Training Course in: Artificial Intelligence: Financial Markets and Blockchain

General Objectives of the Course

(1) provide a comprehensive and accessible introduction to the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), aimed at a general audience;
(2) introduce fundamental concepts of AI and its main areas of application, present AI tools with accessible interfaces, graphical libraries and online solutions,
which enable data analysis in a practical way;
(3) deepen the use of AI tools, libraries and practices in professional or research contexts;
(4) Understand the fundamental concepts of Blockchain and its role in supporting AI;
(5) Acquire practical experience with Blockchain platforms and the simple development of smart contracts; and
(6) Develop skills in evaluating financial assets, building efficient portfolios made up of these assets, managing financial risk and using financial models with Machine Learning integration.

Young people and adults who have a degree or are currently attending a degree course in non-STEAM areas.

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

(1) Understand AI concepts, AI approaches, examples of AI applications, and the implications and limitations of AI. (2) Recognize AI tasks and concepts, navigate userfriendly AI tools, interpret the results obtained, and understand critical aspects of quality and validity, carry out small exploratory AI projects, and evaluate usage scenarios. (3) Create and manage AI projects, develop solutions in various areas of AI, understanding limitations and trade-offs. (4) Understand the fundamental concepts of Blockchain and its role in supporting AI, identify Blockchain use cases, gain practical experience in Blockchain and simple smart contract development, critically evaluate future directions for the interaction
between Blockchain and AI. (5) Understand the valuation of financial assets, the construction of portfolios composed of these assets, financial risk management tools, and realize the integration of Machine Learning in finance.
