Korean Language Course

General Objectives of the Course

This course aims to teach basic Korean expressions to non-native speakers. Based on Korean alphabet learning, students will develop the ability to understand and express basic Korean, as well as acquire basic Korean grammar and idiomatic expressions essential for a beginner's level. They will learn the principles of Hangul (Korean alphabet), become able to read and write. Through listening and speaking training, they will be able to engage in simple conversations necessary for daily life. In addition, based on their basic knowledge of the Korean language, establish a foundation for understanding Korean culture.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

The assessment of our student’s knowledge is governed by continuous assessment, which requires 75% attendance and the completion of two assessment tests. Other factors are also taken into account, such as participation during classes, completion of homework, and tasks performed throughout the course.

Final grade: 0-20 grade

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

By acquiring basic knowledge of the Korean language, students will build a foundation for speaking the language, and it can also help them understand the culture in addition to learning the language.
