Training Course in: XXV Summer Course Territorial Dynamics in Times of Uncertainty

General Objectives of the Course

Identify and value the territory's resources, natural and human, tangible and intangible, as critical and strategic factors for development (landscape, heritage, culture, etc.); to comparatively analyse economic and social dynamics in different spatial contexts, stimulating the presentation and debate of programmes, initiatives and good practices that contribute to economic, social and territorial cohesion; to encourage dialogue between knowledge and researchers with the aim of extending networks and consolidating partnerships; valuing fieldwork as an educational strategy, for learning about and promoting natural and cultural heritage, and as a space for dialogue to compare the Portuguese raia with other geographies and regional contexts.

Admission Requirements

a) Graduates with an interest in the topics covered by the course;
b) Other specialists with a Curriculum Vitae considered relevant by the coordinators to attend the course;
c) Students who express an interest in the course topics, provided they are approved by the course coordinators.

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

At the end of the course, trainees should be able to: carry out fieldwork in different contexts, especially those located in more remote geographies and regional contexts such as those in the interior of the region; have critical thinking skills; the ability to work as part of a team to build research networks, promoting dialogue between knowledge and researchers.
