Training Course on Introduction to Academic Writing in Portuguese
General Objectives of the Course
At the end of the course, students should be able to write academic texts according to HEI standards using European Portuguese.Admission Requirements
(i) to have completed the previous year or to be attending the last year of studies previous to admission on a Higher Education Institution in a state-funding secondary education school in Portuguese-speaking countries/regions;
(ii) (HEI); (iii) to plan to attend a state-funding HEI in Portuguese-speaking countries/regions, according to cover letter;
(iii) to have a grade of 14 points in a scale of 0 to 20 (or the corresponding grade in the marking system of his / her country) in the last year of studies.

At the end of the course, students should be able to plan their writing (Module 1 - Planning); to write sequences, sections of text, paragraphs and sentences according to information gathered from sources in their subject area, using references according to the APA system; to use a specific lexicon; to use coherence and coesion textual devices; to write simple, coordinated and subordinate sentences; to apply spelling and punctuation rules, following the Orthographic Agreement (Module 2 - Textualising); to revise their own and other people's texts, taking into account the macro-textual level, the syntactic level, the formal level and the pragmatic/communicative level and following objectives and models of their subject area; (Module 3 – Revising).Qualification Requirements and Regulations
