Specialization Course - Citizenship and Local Governance
General Objectives of the Course
The aim of the “Citizenship and Local Governance” course is to train and raiseawareness among leaders, managers, technicians, higher education students, members of local and regional associations and organizations and other people who work or intend to work in the Portuguese local government administrative ecosystem, with a focus on the central region. The course, with regional coverage, develops the
following themes: Historical and Legal evolution of local authorities; Cultural Heritage, citizenship and development; Municipal Civil Protection organization and management; Participatory Methodologies for Cocreating Fire Resilient Landscapes; Access to Healthcare as a Universal Right; Science Education as a Tool for
Public understanding of Science.
Admission Requirements
Bachelor’s degree holders or equivalent. Target audience: leaders, managers,
technicians, higher education students, members of local and regional associations and organizations.
