General Objectives of the Course

The course aims to create an ecosystem that fosters the dissemination of knowledge between academia and industry, promoting the resources necessary for the implementation of the energy transition. To this end, the course aims to improve understanding of the basic principles of comfort and building climate control, as well as to develop and consolidate skills related to different HVAC solutions. Participants will acquire procedures and best practices for using dynamic simulation tools for buildings, enabling them to analyze their energy performance, and will gain experience in developing modeling and simulation capabilities for buildings and their HVAC systems.

Admission Requirements

The course focuses on the dissemination of knowledge between academia and industry, aiming to promote the resources available for implementing the energy transition. It is designed for professionals from companies that are part of the PRR Alliance for the Energy Transition consortium who wish to deepen their knowledge in this area. The course targets professionals seeking to engage in advanced training activities, acquiring new skills to address the challenges of the energy transition. Applicants are required to have a minimum educational qualification equivalent to a completed secondary education or relevant professional experience, even without formal qualifications, as long as the experience can be proven.

The final course grade will be calculated quantitatively on a 20-point scale.
