Training Course - Information Services and Sustainable Development Fundamentals - for teachers

General Objectives of the Course

At the end of the module, students should understand the importance and types of Mediation in Information Services, know the national and international policies in the field of Information Mediation and the opportunities of Information Services for the implementation of the agenda of UN for the Sustainable Development of Humanity.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

The evaluation of the trainees will be made on a quantitative scale, from 1 to 10 values, in accordance with paragraph 6 of Article 4 of Order 4595/2015, of 6 May:
- Excellent - from 9 to 10 values;
- Very Good - from 8 to 8.9 values;
- Good - from 6.5 to 7.9 values;
- Regular - from 5 to 6.4 values;
- Insufficient - from 1 to 4.9.
Students will be deemed successful if they obtain a classification equal to or higher than 5/20 and if they attend 2/3 of the specified number of joint contact hours;
At the beginning of the course, the evaluation parameters will be clarified with the trainees.

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

Environmental Awareness: Develop awareness about environmental issues and understand the role of information services in the context of sustainable development; Sustainable Integration: Ability to integrate sustainable practices into information services, promoting energy efficiency, waste reduction and the adoption of green technologies; Environmental Impact Analysis: Competence to carry out environmental impact analyzes related to information management activities, identifying and mitigating potential negative effects; Development of Sustainable Policies: Participate in the creation and implementation of policies that promote sustainability in information services, aligning practices with recognized environmental standards; Sustainable Innovation: Stimulate innovation in the design of information services, integrating technological solutions that contribute to sustainable development.
