Training Course - Mental well-being and the teacher-student pedagogical relationship

General Objectives of the Course

(1) To improve teachers’ professional practice;
(2) To increase the quality of communication and pedagogical relationships with adolescent students;
(3) To promote the use of socio-emotional skills that facilitate classroom management;
(4) To promote the mental well-being of students and teachers in school, as a strategy to facilitate the learning process.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Quantitative score from 1 to 10 values: Excellent (9 to 10); Very good (8 to 8.9); Good (6.5 to 7.9); Regular (5 to 6.4); Insufficient (1 to 4.9).
The final course grade will be calculated based on an individual written test on the course contents and their application in the classroom context.

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

(1) Development of socio-emotional skills;
(2) Identification of basic emotions, their components and functions;
(3) Mastery of meditation techniques based on mindfulness and compassion;
(4) Acquisition of problem-solving strategies;
(5) Recognition and management of behaviors focused on emotions.
