General Objectives of the Course

(1) To promote teachers’ emotional literacy;
(2) To develop emotion regulation strategies aiming to improve the mental wellbeing of teachers;
(3) To reduce vulnerability factors for the development of emotional problems;
(4) To promote social safeness and connectedness in the school community.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Quantitative score from 1 to 10 values: Excellent (9 to 10); Very good (8 to 8.9); Good (6.5 to 7.9); Regular (5 to 6.4); Insufficient (1 to 4.9).
The final course grade will be calculated based on an individual written test on the course contents and their application in the school context.

(2) Development of adaptive emotion regulation strategies;
(3) Identification of warning signs of emotional disturbance;
(4) Mastery of meditation techniques based on mindfulness and compassion;
(5) Acquisition of problem-solving strategies;
(6) Recognition of behaviors focused on emotions and their consequences;
(7) Use of self-care strategies.
