Italian Laboratory Course

General Objectives of the Course

Reading, conversation and writing will be emphasized in this course, with the aim of improving students skills in Italian and their ability to participate in discussions and make oral presentations. Students should become independent users of the language, reaching a level close to B2.1 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must be aged 16 years or over. Skills in Italian at level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, or successful completion of the Course in Italian Language and Culture IV in the last two years.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

The assessment of our students' knowledge is governed by continuous assessment, which requires 75% attendance and the completion of two assessment tests. Other factors such as participation during classes, completion of homework and tasks carried out throughout the course are also taken into account. At the end of each level, it is possible to request the issuance of the corresponding certificate as long as the student has achieved success.
Final classification: 0-20 values

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

At the end of the course, students will be able to work in a more autonomous manner with texts in Italian and also develop more confidence in pronunciation and spelling, acquiring skills corresponding to CEFR level B2.1
