Specialization Course in sustainability and life-cycle assessment of wood-based construction

General Objectives of the Course

To provide a clear understanding of concepts on Sustainable Development (SD) and Sustainable Construction (SC). To allow the understanding and application of the SD principles to the construction sector. To make the participants familiar with the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology, with the emphasis on wood-based constructions. To inform on the requirements of EN and ISO standards related to
the LCA of buildings and products. To provide knowledge on the interpretation and analysis of results collected from LCA studies.

Admission Requirements

Holders of first cycle (bachelor) courses or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Forestry or other related areas.
