General Objectives of the Course

The course aims to provide trainees with social competencies, to provide a
programme of previous preparation for the application and attendance of higher education in Portugal and at the University of Coimbra in particular, with an optional component of preparation for national exams. The programme may also include an immersion component with an in-person experience at the University of Coimbra, and a follow-up and tutoring programme.

Admission Requirements

Applicants who have a Portuguese nationality or that are of Portuguese descent (a citizen who has resided for at least two years on a permanent basis in a foreign country and has at one ancestor of Portuguese nationality originating up to the 2nd degree on the direct line who has not lost that nationality, and who has a Portuguese nationality according to no. 1 of Article no. 1 of Law no. 37/81 of
3rd October in its current wording), have completed secondary or equivalent education or are able to complete it in the academic year in which they apply to the course.

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

At the end of the course, the trainees should acquire knowledge in soft skills, should know the application procedure concerning higher education, and should have the necessary documents/data in order to apply to the National Contest of Access and Admission.
