Training Course in Fundamentals of Information Security
General Objectives of the Course
The Course aims for students to master the concepts and techniques associated with the area. In the end, they must know the concepts of Information Security and be able to apply them, identifying the information assets that need to be safeguarded.In the process, students must be able to understand and explore techniques associated with information security, as well as be able to develop information policies and recognize the challenges posed by new tools associated with artificial intelligence.

Student skills by the end of the course: Students will develop crucial skills, such as understanding the role of information in organizational management, the practical application of Information Security (IS) concepts in real scenarios, and the ability to classify and protect critical information, ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability. Furthermore, the fundamental principles of data protection will be studied, in accordance with the respective regulations.The Course also covers knowledge of IS systems and mechanisms, including prevention, monitoring, detection, reaction, analysis and correction of systems. The importance of the human component in IS is highlighted, raising students' awareness of the need for security policies and strategies to mitigate incidents related to human action.
