Managing Collaborative R&D&I Projects

General Objectives of the Course

This course aims to raise awareness among participants about the importance of
open innovation and the value of managing R&D&I projects, as well as to equip them with the technical and social knowledge and skills to transform an idea into a collaborative R&D&I project with significant societal impact.

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

After completing this course, participants should be able to: (1) Understand science and technology policies and different funding instruments; (2) Recognize the benefits of collaborative R&D&I projects for companies, national scientific and technological institutions, and society; (3) Understand the process of developing proposals for collaborative R&D&I projects; (4) Identify critical success factors in collaborative R&D&I projects; (5) Recognize the importance of professional project management in collaborative R&D&I projects; (6) Apply key project management practices and tools throughout the project lifecycle; (7) Understand the main mechanisms for transferring and valorizing the results of collaborative R&D&I projects; (8) Recognize the importance of science communication and the impact resulting from collaborative R&D&I projects.
