General Objectives of the Course

Organised n the scope of the bLueTIDE project, aims to empower early childhood educators and teachers, from all educational levels, to become independent and confident in teaching scientific concepts related to the rocky intertidal zone.

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

At the end of the course, trainees are expected to be able to independently teach their students the following contents: What is the intertidal zone; how tide pools are formed; what are ocean tides; the distribution of organisms in the intertidal zone: physical-chemical and biological factors; adaptations of organisms to the intertidal zone; pressures on the ecosystem; the importance of preserving the intertidal zone.
