Training Course in Circular Economy and Sustainability for Young People
General Objectives of the Course
The course aims to improve the training and knowledge of young people in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM). It will present introductory concepts, approaches and tools of circular economy (CE) in order to contribute to the sustainability of the planet. The learning will be based on practical cases with emphasis on STEAM Youth, to promote understanding of the strategies to implement a CE at individual level, in society in general and in companies. Specific objectives of the course are: learn fundamental knowledge about CES; the relevance of European and National policies to promote CES; acquire technical engineering knowledge for the design of processes and products that privilege the use of renewable or recycled raw materials; minimize emissions, energy and resource consumption; promote the reduction-reuse-recycling; the use of water in a circular way; identify and apply CE practices and tools; analyze case studies of successful transitions to CE models.Admission Requirements
