Jorge Henriques is Associate Professor with habilitation at the Informatics Engineering Department.
His main research interests include computational intelligence methodologies with a particular focus on modeling, prediction, diagnosis, and decision-making in the clinical context. He has been actively involved in the development of pHealth solutions, including advanced algorithms and models for analyzing and processing bio-signals such as ECG, ICG, PPG, heart sounds, and blood pressure, as well as implementing these solutions.
He is a senior researcher at the Centre for Informatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra (CISUC). He has coordinated and participated in several projects at national and international level, namely in the eHealth area: FP6-MYHEART, FP7-EPILEPSIAE , FP7-HEARTCYCLE, FP7-WELCOME and FP7-HEARTWAYS, H2020-LINK, H2020-WELMO.
Jorge Henriques is a licensed Professional Engineer and integrated the direction of the college of Computer Engineering, Central Region. He regularly provides consulting services to companies and national institutions in the field of clinical informatics and eHealth. He previously served as the executive-coordinator of the Informatics Laboratory at the Instituto Pedro Nunes from 2001 to 2005.
