Teaching Methods
This course will use an explanatory teaching approach (used in theory classes), active teaching-learning methods (used in practical classes) and tutorial follow-up. The active teaching-learning methods include case studies related to psychotherapeutic follow-up, the drafting of clinical reports, the analysis of teaching videos on the disorders being studied and role-playing exercies to develop specific competencies.
Learning Outcomes
This unit aims to provide students with an introduction to psychotherapeutic and psychopedagogical interventions in infancy and childhood.
Competencies:
Students should understand both the nature and methods of psychological interventions with children, acquiring knowledge and skills both for diagnosis and the main intervention strategies with children. They should also become familiar with the nature and means of professional interaction with schools and family/juvenile courts.
