Recommended Prerequisites

It is recommended the frequency, with approval, of 1st semester units in Systemic and Familiar Psychotherapy specialization subarea. The student must have good knowledge of English (reading) since many bibliographic references are in English.

Teaching Methods

Theoretical / practical methodologies using lectures, active methods and tutorial guidance.

Learning Outcomes

To acquire knowledge about the specificity of research in family and systemic approaches, including ethical and deontological issues. To know how to define the parameters of systemic assessment and how it differs and can be linked to individual assessment. The student should acquire skills so as to be critical consumers of research, knowing how to evaluate it and to decide when it should be incorporated into clinical practice; it should start the process of identity construction of a researcher and expert in the scientific area. The student must be able to identify problems and research objectives in specific areas and issues and to progressively achieve basic skills for development of research projects.
