None. However, knowledge in the area of Organizational Psychology is recommended.
Teaching Methods
Theoretical and practical analysis and discussion of case studies. Watching films in small groups, scientific literature review, preparation, presentation and discussion of papers on specific topics indicated by the teacher.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the semester it is expected that students are able:
- To understand the importance of job analysis in organizations;
- To analyze the functions and dimensions of the task which are relevant to the well-being of employees and viability of the organization;
- To identify the targets of change bearing in mind the well-being of employees and the viability of the organization;
- To plan strategies for change in the functions and tasks relevant to the well-being of employees and viability of the organization;
- To start implementing these changes;
- To control and evaluate critically the impact of such changes.

1. Psychological theories about the design of the job position (study of fatigue, characteristics of the job position and psychological ergonomics).
2. Application programs (Industrial democracy, humanization of work, quality of life at the workplace, health and safety and study of the human error).
3. The multidimensional notion of performance at work (cognitive dimensions of performance, stress and psychological efforts).
4. Design of work and technological change (telework and human-machine interface).
5. Time at work and the design of the task (changes at work and psychological reactions to changes in the time factor, biological rhythms and change at work).
6. Individual and team work (design of team work and of team tasks).
7. Psychosocial risks and risks at work: work-related stress, illness and addictions (models of prevention of psychosocial risk, intervention skills in terms of psychosocial risks).
8. The context of interventions in the workplace: the cost-effectiveness relation regarding intervention actions at the workplace and processes of organizational change related to intervention actions at the workplace.
