General Objectives of the Course

The course “Medicines and Herbal Health Products” is intended to continuously train professionals in the pharmaceutical professional activity in order to provide and update scientific and technical knowledge which are specific and essential to handle and use medicines and other herbal health products.

Admission Requirements

Having a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences is the admission qualification to this course;
The course’s Coordination Commission may also admit to this course holders of other Bachelor’s Degrees whose curriculum demonstrates an adequate basic scientific preparation.
Maximum number of students admitted: 25.
This course is delivered only if it has a minimum of 10 students.

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

Provide multidisciplinary scientificknowledge, ethnopharmacological, phytochemical, phytotherapeutic and technological knowledge, which allow to support dispensing, advice, follow up and therapeutic monitoring of herbal medicines.

This course is organized into teaching modules and it covers the elaboration of monographs.
